"The Best.... No. But Still Good"

ATV Quad Power Racing 2 is the second game in the series. This game was released for the Xbox as well and the Sony Playstation 2 and the Nintendo Gamecube. The first game in this series ATV Quad Power Racing was released for the Gameboy Advance and Playstation Systems in 2000 and 2002 Respectfully. Well now on to the review.

Gameplay - 8/10

After seeing a bad review from Gamespot I was unsure if I should have picked this up or not. I decided to see for myself and went for it. This one is really fun to play alone and even better if you are playing with some buddies. The difficulty of this game is not too hard but it is good because you can pick it up and have fun with it. The controls are well designed and have made for a solid package in the gameplay section. There are many Game modes but the meat of the game is in the career mode. In career mode you race to improve your stats as well as unlock new riders bikes and tracks. The career mode is very well laid out and deserves a nod for acclaim.

Graphics/Sound - 6/10

This is the only section that really has some flaws in the game the graphical features of the game are really not that bad but the Xbox can do so much more. After playing games like splinter cell and DOAXBV the textures just look very average. The sound in this game would have earned a much higer score if they would have included the soundtrack feature. Even though you cannot play your own music the music provided is very good if you like rock music. I might also mention that this game does not support HDTV which brought the score down a little as well.

Playtime/Replay Value - 9/10

This Game probably wouldn't take more than 5 hours to unlock everything but thats not where the high score comes from. This is one of those games that you can pick up anytime you have friends over and just play. I myself would never get tired of playing this game with four players which I might add is exclusive to the Xbox.

Final Score - 8/10

I think that this game is definitely a keeper and should be a part of any racing fans collection. The graphics are not the best but there ok. This game was very nice and I thank acclaim for giving me this great game.
